Online Dorset Button Workshop
Dorset Buttons inspired by the Snowdrop
I have designed a special Dorset Button workshop to work two buttons to celebrate the Snowdrop, the flower that heralds the start of Spring.
There are a number of folk law sayings about the snowdrop, but the one I like is “Where an angel blows on snowflakes, snowdrops with grow”. After the Fall of Man, Adam and Eve were driven to a land of permanent winter. An angel consoled them by promising there will be better times ahead and blew upon the falling snowflakes which, as they touched the ground, were transformed into snowdrops. Wherever the snowdrop grows as soon as it raises its head is a sign that spring is on the way. The two Dorset Buttons I have designed for this online Crosswheel, which is worked in two colours and the Singleton button with an image of a snowdrop. The price of the workshop includes materials. All you will need are scissors. This workshop is designed for those who already know how to make a Dorset "Cartwheel" Button. Once you have registered, I will send you a worksheet a few days before the workshop. If you require materials all the items with an * will be included in my packs. Please give at least seven working days for delivery if in the UK, at least two weeks if from overseas. Cancellations Once you have booked your place I am unable to give any refunds unless you give me three weeks notice to enable me to re-advertise. |
Book your place.
Workshops are £32.00 each for those who live in the UK and £38.00 each for overseas participants. The price includes the cost of the kit. Thursday 22nd February 2024
