Dorset Button Workshop
‘Looking at Texture’ using ethically sourced yarns
Due to the success of the first workshop, Looking at Texture, I have decided to repeat it.
For all of you who have followed me on Instagram and/or Facebook know how much I enjoy working with textiles and different yarns. This workshop, ‘Looking at Texture’, is designed using one of my favourite suppliers, Yarn Yarn. Their mission is to provide handmade ethical yarns and craft supplies to creative communities worldwide. All their yarns are produced in remote villages in northern India. Each participant will receive their own box of different yarns specially prepared by Yarn Yarn and and worth £30.00. We will be working on a large 30cm wooden or metal ring to show off the full extent of the texture these yarns can make. This whole day workshop for five participants will take place in my studio in Donhead St Mary, near Shaftesbury in Dorset, and costs £70.00 each. This includes all materials, instructions (including a box of up to fifteen different yarns) and refreshments. Lunch is not included. I advise participants to bring their own as the nearest pub and shop is over a mile from the studio. Details on how to find my studio will be sent to you nearer the date. Cancellations Once you have booked your place, I am unable to give any refunds unless you give me three weeks’ notice to enable me to re-advertise. |
